INTERMEDIATE CIVIL DESIGN TECHNICIAN
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
about the job
We currently have opportunities for Intermediate Civil Design Technicians based out of our Victoria, British Columbia office. The role includes civil engineering design and drafting, with direct supervision from an engineer, construction inspection, and project support.
Your Responsibilities
- Preparation of storm, sanitary and watermain drawings.
- Preparation of roadworks drawings including plan, profiles, sections.
- Preparation of servicing concept and zoning plans.
- Preparation and design of Stormwater Management Plans and calculations, and Erosion and Sediment Control Plans.
- Preparation of Detailed design drawings to support both subdivision and building permit applications.
- Coordination with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies and subconsultants.
The Skills, Knowledge, and Ability We Seek
- Relevant degree or technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, or related.
- Minimum 5 years previous experience in civil engineering design and drafting.
- Complete proficiency with Civil 3D.
- Understanding of MMCD, CCDC and similar construction documents.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.
- The ability to deal tactfully and effectively with clients and co-workers.
- Ability to work effectively in a high demand, fast paced environment.

INTERMEDIATE ENVIRONMENTAL project manager
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
about the job
We currently have an opportunity for Intermediate Environmental Project Manager based out of our Victoria, British Columbia office. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the Southern Vancouver Island market.
Your Responsibilities
- Independently managing a variety of environmental investigation projects (Phase I, II ESA’s/Stage 1, 2 PSIs II, Detailed Site Investigation, Remediation) in both federal and provincial environmental regulatory settings.
- Project planning, implementation, coordinating fieldwork (in town and out of town).
- Review of project budgets and expenses to ensure good project performance.
- Preparation of reports for due diligence investigations, and submissions to the BC Ministry of Environment & Climate Change Strategy for legal instruments.
- Preparing environmental proposals and workplans.
- Experience with hazardous material surveys/mitigation projects is considered an asset.
- Management of construction environmental monitoring projects.
- Business development activities.
The Skills, Knowledge, and Ability We Seek
- 5 years of environmental consulting experience in BC. Candidates with additional experience will be considered.
- University degree in Environmental Science or Engineering.
- Professional status or designation (P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag., R.P.Bio.).
- Comprehensive understanding of provincial and federal environmental legislation.
- Knowledge and experience working with First Nations in BC and/or First Nations membership is an asset.
- Demonstrated project management experience on a variety of small, medium and large projects.
- The ability to deal tactfully and effectively with clients and co-workers.
- Ability to work effectively in a high demand, fast paced environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
