OFFICE COORDINATOR

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

about the job

We currently have an opportunity for an Office Coordinator based out of our Victoria, British Columbia office. The role includes administrative, bookkeeping and project support.

Your Responsibilities
  • Organizing office-wide activities (e.g. meetings, social events).
  • Ordering and maintaining office supplies and equipment.
  • Attending meetings and recording meeting minutes.
  • Organizing catering for meetings and setting up the boardroom.
  • Distribute and prepare incoming and outgoing mail. 
  • Greeting guests, answering all incoming calls and transferring as needed. 
  • Coordinating office deliveries, shipping, maintenance, IT schedules and repairs. 
  • Preparing monthly productivity and forecast reports. • Scanning and sending invoices with correct coding. 
  • Coordinating accounts receivable payments. 
  • Preparation of proposals and information coordination with technical leads. 
  • Support new hire onboarding processes.
The Skills, Knowledge, and Ability We Seek
  • High School Diploma with post-secondary education in administration. 
  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in an office administration role. 
  • Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in an Engineering or Consulting firm setting. 
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and teamwork skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a high demand, fast paced environment. 
  • Dependability and punctuality are required. 
  • Flexibility to learn new skills. 
  • Ability to lift 10-25lbs of office supplies.

COMPENSATION:

Salary and bonus structure is industry competitive and negotiable based on experience.

INTERMEDIATE CIVIL DESIGN TECHNICIAN

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

about the job

We currently have opportunities for Intermediate Civil Design Technicians based out of our Victoria, British Columbia office. The role includes civil engineering design and drafting, with direct supervision from an engineer, construction inspection, and project support.

Your Responsibilities
  • Preparation of storm, sanitary and watermain drawings.
  • Preparation of roadworks drawings including plan, profiles, sections.
  • Preparation of servicing concept and zoning plans.
  • Preparation and design of Stormwater Management Plans and calculations, and Erosion and Sediment Control Plans.
  • Preparation of detailed design drawings to support both subdivision and building permit applications.
  • Coordination with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies and subconsultants.
The Skills, Knowledge, and Ability We Seek
  • Relevant degree or technical diploma in environmental science, engineering, or related.
  • Minimum 5 years previous experience in civil engineering design and drafting.
  • Complete proficiency with Civil 3D.
  • Understanding of MMCD, CCDC and similar construction documents.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.
  • The ability to deal tactfully and effectively with clients and co-workers.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high demand, fast paced environment.
